Yes Yahoo does have a similar program like adsense, it’s open only to US-based publishers though. Well, it’ closing down soon, and I mean this week. YPNO Self-Service Program Closing April 30, title of the email I got this month. I have been on it for a few years, and it’s nothing like adsense. Payout is much lower mainly because the number of advertisers onboard their program is small. And it caters to just a few key industries, and putting those codes on my sites didn’t help my earnings much if at all.

An affiliate program that I have been promoting for the last few years finally send me a check today. BUT…it got my name wrong! In Asia, Last Name is placed first followed by our First Name, but this US company stuck to the First Name and Last Name format.

It’s a big brand for the niche that I am promoting but the affiliate support has been terrible, while the products are really great, I can’t say the same about their support for affiliates. I dont have access to any statistics….

Anyway, this seems to be a month of check after check mistakes…

I received my regular CJ check last week and was about deposit into my bank account when I realized my name was not on the Payable line. It’s the first time this is happening to me.

Jonathan Volk is a very successful affiliate marketer (makes US$4 million a year) but I have never heard of him before. It goes to show you how big the market is. Anyway he is offering a free Affiliate Masters Course is one of the first few free ebooks I read. No hype, no fluff and highly recommended. It’s written by Dr Ken Evoy. I do think they are great for beginners and even folks with years of experience would benefit from it too.
