Managing Your Time As A Full Time Affiliate Marketer

This August will mark the 2nd year I have worked full-time as an affiliate marketer. Like any business you will experience cycles of up and down. The pace on the web is fast and furious, things change and what is true today might become obsolete tomorrow. Be very careful about what you read and who you listen to.

As a father of one and another one coming along next year, I am supposed to plan my time to maximize every second I have. Yes I do have the flexibility to manage my schedule but I probably never work as hard as I did in my working days. I start my day early at around 7am or sometimes earlier, after sending my wife off to work, I will be back by almost 8.30am, depending on my wake-up time, I would spend at least 30 minutes reading my bible and doing my quiet time.

Then it's about an hour clearing my emails. Email is supose to be a time saver but if you are not careful it can turn out to be the biggest time waster. Thereafter I will spend the next 30 minutes or so going through the stats, ie find out how much money you make or incur. Yes you do need to invest in marketing before you can see any form of returns.

I do different tasks on different days, for existing sites, I do spend at least a few hours a week updating the sites, newer sites take a long time to set up and promote. There is always so much that needs to be accomplish and yet so little time. On most days I end my day at around 7pm around the same time my wife returns from work. I never work on Sundays, and on Saturdays, it's half day.

Bottomline is this, affiliate business like any business is hard work. Yes there is not much in customer fulfilment or even delivery of products, but there are promotional activities to embark on and monitor. You need to patience, discipline and hard work to make it in this business or any business.
